Factors such as gravity, breastfeeding and weight gain may cause loss of elasticity, deformity and loss of steepness at breast . At the same time, the size of the breast gets smaller because there is volume loss in time. If the breast is both sagging and smaller than expected to be; the most preferred plastic breast surgery is placing silicone implants and the breast is both enlarged and lifted.
The outer surface of the implant is made of rough silicone to accommodate breast tissue. The filler inside may be different. Filler materials may be silicone gel, saline, PVP, soybean oil. Silicones are resistant to extreme heat, sunlight, moisture and have a long life. Breast implants come in round, balloon or drop shapes.
Before deciding on breast augmentation the surgeon makes the necessary examinations and discuss the expectations and results of the operation.The surgeon and patient decides the type of implant and where the incisions to be located together.
How is Plastic Breast Enlargement and Lifting operation with Silicone implants are done?
Sagging may be at the level of nip of the breast, at the level of the cease line or lower.
- if sagging is at the level of or near the nipple line this is called a 1. grade ptosis or light sagging. some tissue around the areola (brown ring around the nipple) is removed and breast is lifted.
- If the nipple is 1-3 cm below the crease line, it is called the 2nd grade (middle) ptosis. As well there is an incision around the Areola, some more skin is removed on a steep track that descends to the bottom of the chest .
- If the tip of the nipple is lower than 3 cm below the crease line, there is a 3rd grade ptosis or medium sagging. In this case, a reverse-T-shaped trace of mastopexy is applied. In this operation, a horizontal trace remains under the breast.
Breast enlargement is performed by making a 4 cm incision under the crease or under armpit and placing the silicone implant under the breast tissue or under the chest muscle.
Operation is done under general anesthesia. The average duration is 2 to 3 hours. One night stay after operation is required.
How is the Postoperative Recovery Process?
In general, cosmetic breast surgeries provide permanent and good results, improve the physical health and overall mood of women and enable them to live a normal life. Scars of the plastic melting sutures will be prominent and red in the first months and will be less visible in the following months. they may not be seen by others as all will be staying in the bra. one can bath 2 days after surgery. The person may return to daily life after 3 to 4 days.
Exhausting sports should be avoided for one month.
